The four major possible types of Treatment by your Brisbane Liver Specialiast are are:
Unfortunately I have only known one good Gastroenterologist to advise on nutrition and excercise to a patient (that was myself). So I know from first hand experience that unfortunately
One tip he gave me is excellent Brisbane Liver Specialist gave me is that patient must consume more protein on a daily than a normal person, since Liver disease is a muscle wasting exercise. Indeed, Ensure ads on TV sat that even a normal person loses 15% of muscle mass each year after 50 years old.
The other tip by this excellent Brisbane Liver Specialist is to do resistancce exercises
to muscles using weights Your physiotherapist can assist by advising you exercises you can do at home. You don't need to go to the gym for these exercises. Of course, a gym can help because the gym has machines that you don't have at home. Building up muscle is important in so many ways. Some Cirrhosis patient have died simply because they have lost muscles and can'r even get out of bed. The body will go for sugar first then suck the protein out of your muscles after that. Larger muscles stave off Tupe 2 Diabetes.
It is horrendous to see a Shannon Fentiman Labor Party Government brochure distributed by Mater Hospital that advocates to eat lots of sugary products and fatty products. Disgusting. I would be ashamed to be Shannon Fentiman.
What diet in the whole world for anything promotes soft drinks. Only the Queensland Government diet could stuff this up. There are enough people dying on ramps at Queensland Labor Government Government at the hospital let alone from diet. This will kill you and make your condition worse.
This brochure is listed in the diet section.
I have written to the Shannon Fentiman Queensland Labor Government and the Mater Hospital but no response by either institutions. The Mater Brisbane Liver Specialist said to me n 15/5/24 that he is not aware of the brochure.
Thanks to GESA (Gastroenterology Society of Australia . They have produced a PDF recommended for hospitals to adopt for patient treatment when they first present to a Brisbane Liver Specialist at a hospital.
GESA have provided free online this document. When you first present at a hospital this is what the Brisbane Liver Specialist is advised to follow.
