How to reverse Fatty Liver and other things

The intent of this website is to -

• This site was initially written to highlight that if you have Liver Disease, then if you rely on your liver specialist you may be lucky or very unlucky.

The unfortunate thing is, as mentioned on the main page, a liver specialist may tell you something but not everything. A doctor called Pr Darrell Crawford will tell you nothing. 

• After six months to one year you come to the realisation that you have to help yourself. For me, I started reading Google straightaway. 14 months later, I have learnt a lot. Unfortunately I was given the Liver Disease brochure from Mater Hospital that was full of Sugar and Sat fats - See nutrition page. I reckon the Mater/Qld Health nutrition brochure set my  fat content reduction plan back 6 months. I now eat the best foods and drinks most of the time and have not had a drop of alcohol for 14 months.

The point is what you have to do is this -

Find out exactly where you are at at the moment. Step Get your blood tests to start. Make sure the GP orders the right blood tests, Step 2. Get your liver specialist to do an Ultrasound  and any other scans. See my Fatty liver grading page. Step 3. Get your GP to give you pills to get what you can back to normal with your GP. 

See your liver specialist to get an Ultrasound. 

Step 4 Make a plan based on the results of the Ultrasound.

• There is no book on this stuff anywhere in the world that a lay person can understand. It's like learning another language.

• Learn how to reverse Fatty Liver and slow down Cirrhosis if possible.

• Lodge your complaint with us re your Liver Specialist, ie,  either a Hepatologist or Gastroenetrologist.

• Liver specialists -

Mostly can't read Radiologist's scans

They can't read Radiologiat reports

They only give you 30 minutes of their time each six months and charge $400 then kick you out the door.

They refuse to answer your questions a lot of the time,

• Lodge  a complaint with us regarding a Radiologist and/or report
• Provide information on what to say and do at Liver Specialist appointments
• Provide information to educate you about what your condition may be described  in a scan or report. Find out what stage of Fatty Liver you have.

• Help you to read liver scans and reports  yourself.
